Akkineni Nagarjuna on Tuesday completed the shooting of the upcoming multi-starrer film ”Brahmastra”. He took to social media and shared a couple of pictures from the sets, expressing his happiness on being a part of the film.
He wrote, ”And it’s a wrap for me on #Brahmāstra. Such an amazing experience it has been with our stellar performers #Ranbir and @Aliaa08. Can’t wait for you guys to witness the outstanding world #AyanMukerji has created. #TheBigIndianMovie #Brahmastra.”
”Brahmastra” also features Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Mouni Roy in the lead roles. Akkineni Nagarjuna plays the role of an archaeologist named Vishnu in the Ayan Mukerji directorial. ”Brahmastra” is a trilogy. The first part of trilogy revolves around a youngster Shiva essayed by Ranbir Kapoor who finds the fire within him, decides to find the weapon named Brahmastra. This is the first time that the audience will see Nagarjuna in the role of an archaeologist.
The star-studded pan-India film had gone on floors in February 2018. Apart from the lead cast, the movie also features Dimple Kapadia, Prateik Babbar, Divyenndu, Vishal Karwal, Saurav Gurjar, Rashi Mal and Shah Rukh Khan in crucial roles. Amitabh Bachchan will be seen playing the role of Brahma while Alia Bhatt will essay the role of Isha. Mouni Roy plays Damyanti in the film. Pritam is on board to compose the tunes and Sudeep Chatterjee, Patrick Duroux, Pankaj Kumar, Manikandan, Vikash Nowlakha, Santhana Krishnan and Ravichandran for cinematography with Akiv Ali, Manik Dawar and A Sreekar Prasad roped in for editing.
”Brahmastra” is produced by Fox Star Studios in collaboration with Dharma Productions on a massive budget of Rs 300 crore. The film was planned to be released on August 15, 2019, in 5 Indian languages. However, the makers recently clarified that the release date can only be confirmed after the shoot is completed.
