One of the most eagerly awaited pan Indian films is Pushpa, which stars Allu Arjun in the lead. The film, which is being directed by noted Telugu filmmaker Sukumar, has Karnataka girl and national crush Rashmika Mandanna in the lead. The film also has Kannada actor Dhananjaya playing a prominent role as the antagonist in the film. The film team took to social media today to announce that they have finalised the release date. With two big names from Kannada cinema in the film, the makers are particularly keen to see the response to the Kannada version of the film too.
Pushpa will be releasing on the Independence Day weekend. The makers have announced that the film will release on August 13. The posters of the film show Allu Arjun in a rugged look, something that he has not been seen in for a while, which has upped the anticipation around the film. The team has shot the film in quick speed after the permissions for film shoots were given post the pandemic. Rashmika will be seen opposite Arjun for the first time in a film and fans and film lovers have expressed a lot of happiness on this new pairing
Dhananjaya is particularly about his character in this film, as it gives him a character that got him extremely excited about. He had previously told Bangalore Times, “With regards to my role in Pushpa, it is a pucca villain role. Working with Sukumar is nice, his realistic approach to cinema reminds me of the way it is working with Soori. He ensures everyone is happy and lively on the set.”
