Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukerji starrer hit film ‘Black’ helmed by filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali completed 16 years since its release in 2005. While fans continue to recall the National Award-winning film on social media, megastar Amitabh Bachchan took to his Twitter handle to join in the celebration.

Talking about the milestone, Big B shared some stills from the film that feature Rani and wrote, “T 3804 – Black…a movie way ahead of its time. Every dialogue, every instance in the movie was so beautifully crafted, that it has engraved its existence in everyone’s heart, including mine. #16YearsOfBlack #RaniMukerji #SanjayLeelaBhansali.”

Talking about the film, it starred Rani as a deaf and blind girl while Amitabh in the lead essayed the role of a teacher.

Not only the film gathered a great response at the BoxOffice but also received critical acclamation from around the globe, including 11 Filmfare Awards and more.

On the professional front, Big B has several interesting projects lined up for this year. From ‘Jhund’, Ayan Mukerji‘s ‘Brahmastra’ to ‘Chehre’, fans can’t wait to watch him back on the big screen. He is also a part of ‘MayDay’ co-starring Rakul Preet Singh and Ajay Devgn.
