Arjun Das recollects joining Thalapathy Vijay's 'Master'

Exactly a year ago, actor Arjun Das, who rose to fame with his role in Kaithi, had apparenty be roped into Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Master’, which then tentatively called ‘Thalapathy 64’. Though the official announcement was made only on November 30, the young actor has revealed that he had got the call from director Lokesh Kanagaraj a year ago welcoming to the cast of ‘Thalapathy 64’.

Interestingly, Arjun Das had replaced Malayalam actor Antony Varghese in the film. In an earlier interview with us after the announcement was made, an elated Arjun said, “It is a dream-come-true moment to work with Vijay sir so early in my career. I will be forever grateful to Lokesh for casting me in the film. I am having mixed emotions; the feeling will sink in only when I begin shooting for the film.”

He further added that the offer came as a total surprise and stated, “I got a call from Lokesh one day. He simply said, ‘Vaa machi’. When Lokesh calls you, you don’t ask any questions. I am on board.”

Now, the young actor who is eagerly awaiting the release of the film has recollected the incident and shared it through his social networking page. Meanwhile, actor Shanthnu seems to be eagerly waiting for the trailer of the film, just like all the fans

. The film stars Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi playing hero and villain, respectively with Malavika Mohanan playing the female lead. The film also has a huge star cast which includes Andrea Jeremiah, Shanthanu, Arjun Das, Sanjeev, Prem, Gouri Kishan, Ramya, and others. The film is bankrolled by XB Film Creators in association with Seven Screen Studios.
