Arpita is happy that movie theatres have finally reopened. “It’s a really good thing for our industry and I am glad people will get to watch their favourite movies in theatres this Puja. I’m sure theatre owners will adhere to all safety protocols and so will people. Those who work in movie halls will get back to their jobs and that’s always encouraging,” said the actress.
Talking about Durga Puja, Arpita said, “We have gone through and are still going through possibly the most challenging time of our lives. The shift is happening slowly and steadily. And yet there is positivity in the air and people are embracing the new normal. I am an eternal optimist and want to see good in everything. We have learnt a lot from the pandemic and I hope we don’t forget those lessons during the festive season and beyond. After all, Puja is all about spending happy moments with our near and dear ones.”
For the actress, Durga Puja is a very auspicious time and more than pandal hopping or buying clothes, she wishes that people remain in the best of health. “During the festival, people will want go out. But I would urge everyone to maintain distance as much as possible, wear masks and use hand sanitisers. We must also extend a helping hand to all those who have suffered due to the pandemic and include them in our celebrations by sharing whatever we can. Wishing everyone a very happy and safe Durga Puja,” Arpita said.
