Aryann Bhowmik: Acting for different mediums is more fun than challenge

Experimenting with form and medium is every actor’s joy. Aryann Bhowmik has been seen in theatre, films, web series and TV serials. And the young actor said that he thoroughly enjoys being a part of all these mediums.

“It’s more fun than a challenge for me. While cinema will be the most important platform for me to showcase my talent, I also like doing documentary theatre, web series and serial. Films help me attract the audience by portraying a larger than life image. But entering the audience’s drawing rooms every day with a relevant character also explores my capabilities through the serials I do,” he said.

The actor is keeping busy in the unlock 4.0 phase with the release of a web series, dubbing for Kakababu and shooting for the serial Titli. “I am happy to be getting diverse work. It’s important for any actor to upgrade their skills. Such varied opportunities also increase your confidence. No matter how good an actor is, he needs to blend with the requirement for the medium. If an actor is nuanced in a jatra show, that will not work for him,” Aryann said.

He was last shooting Srijit Mukherji’s yet-to-be-released film in South Africa with Prosenjit Chatterjee. The entire team was in South Africa when the lockdown was announced in India and they could just return in time. Earlier too, Aryann had shot with the same director-actor team for the Kakababu series film. He looks forward to more such big screen adventures while exploring other mediums of acting too, he said.
