Atharvaa turns vigilante for Sam Anton’s John Wick-esque film

Director Sam Anton and Atharvaa will team up once again after 100 for a new film. An action thriller, the film will go on floors in the first week of March. “Even though the film will be an out-and-out action fest, I’ve delved into father-son sentiment here. It will be on the lines of the John Wick series — a powerful emotion drives the action in this film,” begins Sam.

Giving us more details, he adds, “The father’s character is a police officer. He couldn’t finish a case, and his son takes it upon himself to solve it. The story is driven by the dark web and related crimes. Atharvaa is more of a vigilante. He will be sporting a rugged look and will be bulking up for his role as well.”

The pre-production work has been on for the last three months. “The entire film will be shot in Hyderabad, in one schedule, lasting till April. The climax portions will have 20 minutes of gripping chase sequences. We will be erecting a special set for the same in Hyderabad. Shruti Nallappa, who’s backing the film, has given us a free hand on this project,” the director adds.

The team is in talks with a popular yesteryear actor to play the role of the father. Ghibran will be scoring music for the film, and his usual collaborators, Ruben (cinematographer) and Krishnan (cinematography), are part of the crew as well.
