Awaara movie was made 1951. It was produced and directed by Raj Kapoor, and it was written by Khwaja Ahmad Abbas under All India Film Corporation and R.K Films, Radhu Karmakar was handle the Cinematography and editing was dome by G.G Mayekar.

The Story begins with Judge Raghunath (Prithviraj Kapoor) whose wife Leela was kidnapped by a thief for revenge, when the thief found out that she has become pregnant , he release her after four days a plans a revenge for different ways, he spoils her character in front of her husband and he create the image that she became unfaithful for her husband.afterthat Judge throws out onto the street, She gives birth to a son and fosters him under the hope that he will become a learned man like his father. He Meets a cute girl Rita (Nargis) and invites him to her birthday party but he is ostracized because his social standing, and is soon arrested for a crime and send off to prison, he gets out after several years,, However, poverty and hunger throws him in the arms of K.N. Singh who is life-long bitter revenge upon Prithvi Raj Kapoor who had ensured a harsh sentence for him.
The birthday girl from several years back! And they both start an affair, Raj Kapoor is tried for the murder charge, Nargis reveals the truth that Raj Kapoor is none else but the son of Prithvi Raj Kapoor himself. Ultimately the father recognizes his son who is sentenced to prison for the murder.
