Director Pathikrit Basu is all set to start shooting of his upcoming film, Dadur Kirti, from September 22. The film features Ayoshi Talukdar and Om Sahani as the lead pair. Veteran actor Sumanta Mukherjee also plays a pivotal role in the film.
Ayoshi, whose last big screen outings were Sayantan Ghosal’s Satyanweshi Byomkesh and Raja Chanda’s Harano Prapti, is very much excited to work with Pathikrit for the first time. She said, “Pathikrit has directed big commercial films earlier. His work has been liked by everyone so I’m more than happy to get directed by him and I am really looking forward to the film’s shooting. I think he puts in a lot of thought behind every character, which is quite helpful for an artiste. I am very excited to be a part of Dadur Kirti.”
The story of the film explores the bond between a grandfather and his granddaughter. It’s romcom and will also see how Amit, played by Om, convinces and wins over Dadu to become Torsha’s (Ayoshi) love interest. The shooting of the film will take place in Kolkata.
