Badava Gopi joins Silambarasan-starrer Maanadu's shooting

Actor and stand-up comedian Badava Gopi recently said that he will be a part of Venkat Prabhu’s Silambarasan-starrer Maanadu. On Tuesday, he joined the film, the shooting of which is happening in Puducherry. The official Twitter page of the movie announced the same. The tweet read, “Look who joined the sets of @STRMaanaadu – Welcome @badavagopi #Maanaadu.” Gopi, too, took to his Twitter account to share the excitement of having joined the project. He thanked the movie crew and said that he was stunned to see the transformation Simbu underwent and described it as ‘inspiring’.

He posted, “Thank you team.. Glad and stunned to see the transformation of our thambi@SilambarasanTR_very inspiring. May he continue to inspire many. Loves to all.” A picture of Gopi and Venkat Prabhu from the shooting spot also did the rounds on social media. The actor, who was earlier part of Venkat Prabhu’s Saroja, Biryani, Chennai 600028 and Chennai 600028 II: Second Innings, is teaming up with STR after 13 years. Gopi had a release earlier this year; Naan Sirithaal, which starred Hip Hop Adhi and Ishwarya Menon in lead roles.
