Bhumi Pednekar on implementing a zero-waste policy on sets of ‘Badhaai Do’: This is a conversation I like to have with most of my teams

Bhumi Pednekar is one of the active climate warriors from the Bollywood industry who has managed to spread awareness about Mother Nature. While she is currently shooting for her upcoming film ‘Badhaai Do’ in Dehradun with Rajkummar Rao, the actress has now ensured that her team follows a no-plastic policy on the film sets

Talking about her zero-waste policy, the ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ actress happily shared with a news portal that the kind of support she has so far received from the film unit to follow her environment-driven campaigns has been applause-worthy. “These are productive steps because the kind of garbage that is produced on a film-set is sizable. This is a conversation I like to have with most of my teams” she added.

The actress has also revealed that even during the shooting of her last three films, her team has always ditched single-use plastics and replaced it with steel water bottles for the good cause.

Further talking about food wastage, Bhumi also shared that during the filming of her last film the excess food was safely distributed among the less fortunate.

On the work front, besides ‘Badhaai Do’, Bhumi is also a part of Karan Johar’s period drama, ‘Takht’.
