It’s been over half a decade that Nora Fatehi has made India her home. The actress and dancer hails from Canada with her roots being in Morocco. While in India the actress misses some home cooked food. And during times like these she has someone send it over to her home in Mumbai. When it comes to sweets, the Dilbar girl is a big fan of Chebakia.
Back then when she was promoting her song Dilbar in 2018, the actress had invited a few journalists at home for interactions. Post work, she treated all the Moroccan sweet. “This is my favourite sweet,” she said after seeing everyone’s reaction tasting the sweet.
For the unawares, Chebakia is a pastry of Moroccan origin. It is made using strips of dough rolled to resemble a rose. The dough is then deep-fried until golden, and then coated with syrup made of rosewater and honey, sprinkled with sesame.
