Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn is considered to be one of the evergreen films in Bollywood. The film was highly praised by the audiences and critics alike.
But did you know, Aishwarya was never the first choice to play the role of Nandini? It was Kareena Kapoor Khan who was approached for the role. Bhansali had offered the role of Nandini to her and make her debut in Bollywood. But Bebo turned down the offer as she was going abroad for studies.
In an interview with an entertainment portal, Kareena had said that Bhansali had offered her the film but she was very young at that time and was travelling abroad for higher studies. She also said that he offered her ‘Bajirao Mastani’ too but that also didn’t work out.
Kareena went on to make her debut in Bollywood with JP Dutta’s ‘Refugee’ in 2000 alongside Abhishek Bachchan. The actress is yet to collaborate with Bhansali for a film.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Kareena will be next seen with Aamir Khan in ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. She recently wrapped up the shooting amid the new normal. She also has Karan Johar’s ‘Takht’.
On the personal front, Saif and Kareena will be soon welcoming their second baby in 2021. They are already blessed with a baby boy Taimur, who is an internet sensation.
