It looks like director Cheran is the latest victim of cyber crime. The director revealed that some was trying to hack into his account and asked his followers to be careful and stay away from the impersonators. He wrote on his social media page, “Somebody’s trying to hack my account.. So verified badge has been removed as their wish.. Hahaha… Any unwanted msgs received from my profile its not mine.. Kindly careful and away from these idiots.” (sic)

It was only recently that actress Ramya Pandiyan had warned of a fake account in her name. The actress had shared on her social media page that the handle @Actress_Ramya is not authentic. She wrote, “I would like to bring to your attention that @Actress_Ramya is not authentic and hence has been reported to Twitter for wrongfully impersonating me. I would also like to clarify that my official account.” Looks like the cinema celebrities are becoming the target of cyber crime one after the other.
