Director Mahesh Limaye on his 6-year hiatus: I wanted to make comeback with an interesting story

Bollywood and Marathi cinema’s popular filmmaker and cinematographer Mahesh Limaye who is well-known for his blockbuster films like ‘Dabangg’, ‘Mushi Pattern, ‘Yellow’ ‘Bhikari’ ‘Balak-Palak’, is now all set to make his return to direction after a six-year break with the film ‘Jaggu Ani Juliet’

In an exclusive chat with Etimes, filmmaker Mahesh Limaye said “I made debut as a director in 2014 with ‘Yellow’. It was based on the true story of Gauri Gadgil, a child with special needs. We got an amazing response from the audience”

“I heard many scripts and stories after ‘Yellow’ but I wanted to come back with an interesting story. So, we were working the content of ‘Jaggu Ani Juliet’ from last 3 years. I am sure the audience will definitely love it. It is a rom-com and which was an emotional connection”

Recently the filmmaker Mahesh announced the project by sharing the film’s title poster on the Instagram handle. He captioned the post as “Presenting the teaser poster of my next as a director..”

‘Jaggu Ani Juliet’ is produced by Punit Balan Studios who has produced the blockbuster Marathi film ‘Mulshi Pattern’.
