Ek Ruka Hua Faisla is a 1986 Indian Bollywood courtroom drama film, it was directed and produced by Basu Chatterjee and written by Ranjit Kapur, Editing was done by Kamal A Sehgal. It stars Deepak Qazir Kejriwal, Amitabh Srivastav, Pankaj Kapur, S M Zaheer, Subhash Udgata, Hemant Mishra, M. K. Raina, K.K. Raina, Annu Kapoor, Subbiraj, Shailendra Goel, Aziz Qureshi, and C. D. Sindhu.
It was a remake of the Golden Bear winning American motion picture 12 Angry Men (1957), which was directed by Sidney Lumet, the film in turn was an adaptation from a teleplay of the same name by Reginald Rose
The entire story was based on, a boy is accused of killing his father. It’s suspected to have committed in a fit of anger. Then a jury is assigned the final task of ascertaining his case. A group of 12 persons sit in a room. These men come from different sections of society which bias their opinions. They debate over the issue. Initially the jury finds him guilty by majority except for one man. It’s decided that until any consensus is reached within the sequestered jurors, they all have to sit together and listen to what others are saying. At last he convince all others to accept his views. Ultimately the boy is acquitted of his charges. This’s the entire story.
The life would be much different if we are able to observe the things without the burden of our past knowledge. I hope in that case, we may as spontaneous as a little child and might have reached more closely to the reality then.
