Exclusive - Ashvini Bhave talks about Rajiv Kapoor; says, "he was a kindhearted man and a pure soul"

Rajiv Kapoor passed away on Tuesday after a massive heart attack. For the first time in 31 years (his last released films were ‘Zimmedaaar’ and ‘Aag Ka Dariya’ in 1990), he was gearing up for a new film. He was set to return in ‘Toolsidas Junior’, starring Sanjay Dutt.

Veteran actress Ashvini Bhave who starred in ‘Henna’ produced by late Rajiv Kapoor shared that he was a “kind-hearted” man. Shocked by the sudden demise of Rajiv, she said, “I am deeply saddened to hear that Rajeev Kapoor is no more. He was a talented actor and director, but above all, he was a kindhearted man and a pure soul. My heart goes out Kapoor family who have suffered many losses in recent times. My deepest condolences to the RK family. May his soul rest in peace.”

Rajiv Kapoor had featured in the films like ‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili’, ‘Zalzala’ (1988), ‘Hum To Chale Pardes’ (1988), ‘Shukriyaa’ (1988), ‘Lava’ (1985), ‘Zabardast’ (1985), and his debut film ‘Ek Jaan Hain Hum’ (1983).

Several Bollywood celebs attended the funeral of the actor on Tuesday in Chembur, Mumbai.
