The Unlock 4.0 phase is seeing more Bollywood films going back on the floors and more actors stepping out of their homes to face the camera again. Siddhant Chaturvedi, who used the time of the lockdown creatively, penning and creating a song, is excited to get back to work finally. While the actor already shot for one of his films in Mumbai last week, he is keenly looking forward to begin the shooting of his forthcoming film starring Deepika Padukone and Ananya Panday.
Earlier, it was reported that the team was to commence the yet-untitled film’s shoot in Sri Lanka, but now it seems the cast and crew will be heading to Goa to roll out its first schedule.
Talking to Bombay Times Siddhant said, “I will be flying off to Goa next month for Shakun Batra’s film. We will be put up there for a period of one month.” The film, apparently is in the noir-thriller zone.
Siddhant is extremely fond of Deepika and the latter too loved his performance in Gully Boy. In fact, after the screening of the Ranveer Singh co-starrer, Deepika was so impressed with his performance as MC Sher, that she couldn’t take her eyes off her. “Yes, she told me that after I met her post the screening. Then again, I met her for the readings of this (Shakun Batra’s) film. Now, my motive is to not let her take her eyes off me in this film (laughs!).”
Shedding more light on the project, Siddhant said, “It is a very different story and genre; it is domestic noir as Shakun Batra (director) calls it. At first when I read it, I didn’t know what it meant, but when Shakun shared his vision with me, I figured that it was a new-age and a contemporary story. It will be an experience for me to play a character with such layers. I am waiting to start shooting for it.”
