Exclusive: Kunal Kemmu opens up about getting his daughter’s name tattooed on him

Kunal Kemmu loves getting inked! So, in the unlock mode, when the parlours had their shutters up, the actor rushed to get himself tattooed. He even shared a picture of the same on his social media page, with a message that read – This ink is the closest to my heart emotionally and literally as well. My little girl is and will always be a part of me.

After having tattooed a lord Shiva in his rudra avatar on his calf and an Om Namah Shivaay typographic tattoo below his neck, the Malang actor’s third tattoo was dedicated to his daughter Inaaya Naumi. Talking about the idea behind it, Kunal tells BT, “I always wanted to get my daughter’s name tattooed on me. I find the fact interesting that the initials of her name – Inaaya Naumi Kemmu – is INK. So, I wanted to get a tattoo where the meaning of her name gets encapsulated in an art form.”

The tattoo that’s placed right below his chest has Inaaya written in Devnagari script. Decoding the ink, Kunal adds, “I got her first name in Devanagari. The red bindi depicts Maa Durga, which represents Inaaya’s middle name ‘Naumi’.” The Shiv bhakt that Kunal is, also added the quintessential trishul in the piece of the body art.
