Exclusive! Manjari Fadnnis to play a double role in her debut Marathi film opposite Pushkar Jog

Manjari Fadnnis is all set to make her debut in Marathi cinema. She has bagged a lead role in Marathi version – Adrushya – of cinematographer turned director Kabir Lal’s debut multilingual film. The project that is being made in four languages – Bengali, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu – went on floors in Dehradun recently.

We have exclusively learnt that Manjari, who is romantically paired opposite Pushkar Jog will be playing a double role. “I am quite excited to be finally making my debut in the Marathi industry,” says she, adding, “Playing dual roles is very challenging. But I had a great time prepping for the same. We did a bit of our research to understand certain aspects of the characters. Plus, I have worked on my Marathi diction.”

The ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane’ Na actress says that it is fun to work on a project where the director is so sorted. “He (Kabir) has a great vision. The frames are so beautiful and I am amazed at the work done by DOP Shahid Lal. I can’t wait to share this film with the audiences when it releases.” Manjari is all praises for her co-star Pushkar as well. “He is an amazing co-star to work with. He is pretty chilled and is helping me master Marathi language,” says she.

Interestingly, Rituparna Sen Gupta, Esha Chawla, Gayatri Shankar are playing leading ladies in the other three versions.
