Known for films like ‘Sanai Choughade’, ‘Baji’, ‘Bandh Nylon Che’, ‘Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai 2’ and serial like ‘Jaago Mohan Pyare’ actress Shruti Marathe has reached Chennai to shoot for a Tamil film. The actor shared the same with her fans and followers on her social media account.
Shruti, who has been a part of several South Indian films in past, is quite excited to kick-start this new project. She reveals, “The movie is a remake of Kannada film ‘Mayabazar’. It is being directed by the Badri and being produced by Sunder C. We have started the first schedule here.”
Interestingly, the ‘Taptapadi’ actor did shoot for a few advertisements and short films as soon as the unlocking phase began. “This is my first movie after lockdown. It feels great to be back on a film set. As far as the safety measures are concerned, we are taking utmost care on the set and following social distancing, wearing masks etc,” she adds.
During the lockdown period, Shruti concentrated on her fitness and also did some anger management training. In fact, she lost around 10 kilos.
Shruti will also be seen in Pravin Tarde’s magnum opus ‘Sarsenapati Hambirrao’, which is based on life of unsung warrior Hansaji Mohite who was the military commander of the Maratha emperor Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He was conferred with the title ‘Hambirrao’ by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. It also features Raqesh Bapat and Gashmeer Mahajani in pivotal roles.
