Varun Dhawan, who is one of the most loved actors in Bollywood has extended his support to the paparazzi amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. With the world of entertainment coming to a standstill due to the lockdown, the actor has come out in support of the paparazzi.
A source told ETimes, “Varun Dhawan reached out to the photographers and helped them financially. He has directly transferred Rs. 7500 into their accounts. He has helped approximately 60 photographers who were badly hit by the crisis. They are thankful to Varun Dhawan for lending support during these tough times.”
Varun had come forward and aided nearly 200 Bollywood background dancers earlier as well. Raj Surani, a former background dancer, who now is a coordinator for songs, had told ETimes earlier, “Varun Dhawan has helped the needy dancers. He has worked with a lot of them in three dance films. He was very concerned about how the dancers are managing their livelihood. He promised to help them and try and address their problems.”
Apart from Varun, Rohit Shetty and Hrithik Roshan had also come out and extended financial support to the photographers in the past.
On the work front, Varun was last seen in ‘Street Dancer 3D’ with Shraddha Kapoor. He is waiting for his next with Sara Ali Khan which was supposed to release in May 2020. But the film got postponed due to COVID-19.
