Falaque to play a bar dancer in next film

Actors Bonny Sengupta, Ankush and Ritabhari Chakraborty have started shooting for Joydeep Mukherjee’s upcoming suspense thriller from October 5. The film also stars actress Falaque Rashid Roy, who plays the second lead in the film. Talking about her character, Falaque said, “The audience will see me in a completely new avatar in the film. I am playing a small-town bar dancer and Bonny’s love interest. Both Bonny and Ankush will be seen as police officers in the film, while Ritabhari plays the role of a doctor. It’s a very interesting story full of suspense, thrill and a lot of drama. This is my first film as parallel lead character. Working with Joydeep da is a new experience for me. He is a very calm person and extremely meticulous on the set. I look forward to working with him again.”

The shooting of the film is taking place in Kolkata and some parts will be shot in Bolpur too. Falaque, being a newcomer has gelled well with her co-stars in the film, and said that they are very supportive. “Am so humbled that despite being a new actor amongst the rest of my co-actors, everyone has been very supportive towards me. Sharing light moments in between shots and serious scenes keep up our energy meter high and work is happening with much ease. I think Joydeep da has a great team and it makes our lives really smooth. Since I play a very pivotal character in the film, I did my workshop with actress Sudiptaa Chakroboty to get hold of the body language and talking style, which has to be unpolished and raw. It’s been a great experience so far. We have started shooting from October 5 and we have small break for the Pujas, post which we will resume shooting in November,” added Falaque.

The actress will soon be seen in Arindam Sil’s Mayakumari and Sayantan Ghosal’s Nirbandhamer Jora Khun.
