Shoots of numerous Tollywood films have been stalled due to the coronavirus pandemic, making the fans wait longer to catch their favourite stars on-screen.
Puri Jagannash’s Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Pandey starrer Fighter is one such film, shoot for which was commencing in Mumbai when the pandemic hit. The film’s team shot a major part for Fighter, which will release in all South Indian languages and Hindi. However, they are yet to commence shoot after lockdown, despite the government giving permissions for shoots to resume.
Vijay Deverakonda opened up about the film in a recent interview with a web portal. Talking about it, he said, “There is absolutely no doubt that Fighter is an out and out commercial flick. But I promise that it will not be typical Telugu commercial cinema. This is something no one has attempted before due to how edgy it is. I am bugging Charmme and Karan Johar to get me back on sets, but they are yet to call me.” Talking about Puri, he added, “I am a fan-boy of Puri ever since I watched Pokiri. But Fighter remains the one film he has never attempted so far. Though it will still have his trademark touch, it is an out-of-the-box movie for him too.”
After his last World Famous Lover turned out to be a dud at box office, Vijay Devarakonda has invested all his expectations in this movie. He said that he going to be a fighter in the movie and he has also taken basic Mixed Martial Arts training for his role
