Garam Hava movie captures the struggle and anguish of the Muslim people who found themselves in a strange situation, they lose their homes, businesses, and even their children are jobless and get cheated and commit suicide. Their own country were treated as outsiders

M.S. Sathyu movie written by Kaifi Azmi and Shama Zaidi, produced by Abu Siwani, Ishan Arya and M.S. Sathyu, Cinematography was handled by Ishan Arya, S.Chakravarty was done by editing.

It Stars Balraj Sahni, Farooq Shaikh, Dinanath Zutshi, Badar Begum, Geeta Siddharth, Shaukat Kaifi, A.K Hangal,Yunus Parvez, Jalal Agha, and Ramma Bains.

The film won three Filmfare Awards for Best Dialogue Awards to Kaifi Azmi, Best Screenplay Award to Kaifi Azmi and Shama Zaidi, and Best Story to Ismet Chugtai, and also won National Award for Best Feature film on National Integration.

The film was India’s official entry to the Academy Award’s Best Foreign Film category and also nominated for the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival,

Music was composed by Bahadur khan and Lyrics were written by Kaifi Azmi, music was awesome especially the qawwali at Fatehpur Sikri.

The shooting mostly was done on real locations, and the production takes advantage of its location – Agra, which has several heritage monuments, some being Hing’s Mandi, Fatehpur Sikri, and of course – the Taj Mahal.

The film deals with the state of Muslims in the Hindu India immediately after the partition, when the situation is full of anger and passion, while people uprooted out of the political decision to divide the land-based on religion. Story resolve on Salim Mirza (Balraj Sahni) lives with their family in Agra, he is one such Muslim who stays back in India, and Salim Mirza and his family have to fight to find its identity and respect in the country they chose not to leave. The family suffers a great deal for its decision but doesn’t give up.

Balraj Sahni gave an Excellent performance as Salim Mirza, his character was hard to forget, Farooq Shaikh’s looks fresh and promising as Sikandar, another supporting cast also provide their best.
