Gautham Menon in Rishi’s Rudra ThandavamGautham Vasudev Menon, who has now made a mark as an actor, too, with impressive performances in films including Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal and Trance, has signed his next. He will be seen in an important role in Richard Rishi’s Rudra Thandavam.

Draupathi director Mohan G Kshatriyan, who’s helming the film, welcomed GVM on board with a tweet yesterday. He wrote, “Gautham Vasudev Menon sir Vathapirajan-aaga Rudra Thandavam padathil nadikkirar enbadhai magizhvudan therivithukolgiren

Speaking to us earlier, the director had said, “It’s a political crime thriller, set in Chennai, especially north Chennai. The story is based on a judgement, and has both fictional and real-life elements. This is a script I wrote after Draupathi released. We are finalising the dialogues now.”

Talking about Richard’s role, he had said, “His character has two shades. He is now working on his physique — he has to lose weight and look fit for one of the portions. So, he has been gymming and eating right. Jubin, who composed music for both my previous films, is part of this one as well. Farooq, who is one of the leading cinematographers in the ad world, will be cranking the camera.”
