Has Vijay Raaz returned to the sets of 'Sherni' post molestation allegations?

Vijay Raaz was arrested by the Gondia police on Monday on charges of molestation. He was shooting for ‘Sherni’ in Madhya Pradesh and was reportedly later released on bail. According to a report in a news portal, the actor has reportedly returned to the sets and resumed shoot. Vijay Raaz was reportedly booked under Section 354A (sexual harassment and punishment for sexual harassment) and 354D (stalking) of the IPC.

‘Sherni’ features Vidya Balan in the lead and the team had recently resumed shooting at Balaghat in Madhya Pradesh post the pandemic. The cast and crew of the film were staying at a hotel in Gondia and sources from police had revealed to TOI that Vijay Raaz’s colleague had alleged that she was targeted by the actor on a number of occasions between October 25 and 29. The molestation reportedly occurred in a hotel lobby and on the set. “We acted promptly due to the sensitivity of the case,” DIG, Naxal range, Sandip Patil was quoted by TOI.

‘Sherni’ is directed by Amit Masurkar and features Vidya as a forest officer. The team had been shooting for the film in March but it was halted due to the Pandemic.
