Pampered pets are all the rage these days, as evidenced by the growing popularity of doggie day spas and pet groomer salons that offer services ranging from high-fashion haircuts to ‘peticures’, massage and aromatherapy treatments, even facials—and pet tattoos!
Well, for actor Anindya Chatterjee, pet grooming has turned out to be his newly found love. The actor has five dogs at home and nthey love to get pampered.
“2020 taught us how to be self-reliant. I have five dogs and before the lockdown, I had to take them to a designated pet place for their grooming. While it may sound fancy, pet grooming, including trimming nails and fur, bathing, removing dead cells from paws and others, is a must for the well-being of pets. You need to do it with great care and concentration. I learnt it meticulously and now I groom all my pups – Kiki, Sia, Kyle, Nina and Precious – on my own,” Anindya shared with ETimes during an exclusive chat.
On the work front, the popular actor will next be seen in Subhrajit Mitra’s ‘Mayamrigaya’ which sees Arpita Chatterjee and Ritabhari Chakraborty playing sisters. The film is based on Rabindranath Tagore’s novel Dui Bon which was first published in 1933 and is among one of Tagore’s last three novels. It is about the eternal conflict that arises when a man does not find a mother figure and a lover in the same person. He needs the former and desires the latter. He’s also a part of Raajhorshee Dey’s upcoming ‘Abar Kanchenjunga’.
