I do believe in the institution of marriage: Rukmini

Rukmini Maitra has been really busy in the past few days. “I had two marriages to attend. My best friend, Sohini (Das), got married. We are friends since nursery and now she is more like family to us. My brother’s best friend got married too. So, it was a hectic week attending the two marriages,” said the actress with a smile. Rukmini, who posted pictures from her best friend’s wedding, also wrote a note for her on social media: “My Dear Darling Rocco.. Sohini Das I can’t even begin to tell you the whirlwind of emotions I have within me, whenever I think about the fact that YOU are married.. My Rocco, my literal Partner In Crime! Words will fail to express how happy I truly am today, to see how happy you are at your new home with your new family.. Wishing you an ocean full of happiness & love & laughter & crazy dance parties!!!Unfortunately the hunt is over for you my friend, but your last catch will last you a lifetime. Hahahah! I LOVE YOU!HUNTER (sic).”

I have a girl gang and both Sohini and I are devils in the group. I am so happy for her new journey,” said Rukmini, who will be in Mumbai next month to attend the acting workshop for her Hindi debut film, Sanak.

When will Rukmini get married? “Let me focus on work now. Marriage will happen at the right time. I do believe in the institution of marriage, but to me, commitment within or outside marriage is more important,” said the actress.

What are her Valentine’s Day plans? “No plans. I will be working. I only take offs on New Year’s Eve and on my birthday. Added to that, I don’t believe that love can be celebrated on a particular day in a year,” said Rukmini.
