“I lost two family members in road accidents”: Junior NTR opens up on road safety

Telugu actor Junior NTR was the guest of honour at the Cyberabad Traffic Police Annual Conference which took place on Wednesday morning in Hyderabad. After flagging off new patrolling vehicles, the 37-year-old took part in the event and talked about how road accidents have killed two of his family members. He urged everyone to think about their family members before driving a vehicle onto the road and be self-responsible.

Speaking amid the presence of Traffic cops in the auditorium, Tarak said “Today, I didn’t attend this event as an actor, but as a citizen who lost two family members due to road accidents. My elder brother, Nandamuri Janaki Ram who is very careful when it comes to driving lost his life due to other’s negligence. My father, Nandamuri Harikrishna also breathed his last in a road accident. Though we’re careful, danger can come in any form.”

“I urge everyone to think about their family members before driving a vehicle onto the road. There is a vaccine for COVID but for road accidents, only self-responsibility is the cure. We should protect ourselves and think about our loved ones at every moment. I also request everyone to realise the hard work of Police and respect them as it’s our duty to do so,” Tarak added.

Draped in a white shirt and black pants, NTR can be seen with a thick moustache and a fully-grown beard. At present, he is shooting for SS Rajamouli’s pan-Indian project RRR. Set against the pre-independence era of the 1920s, the 400 crore period-actioner is a fictional tale that hypothetically juxtaposes the journeys of Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju played by NTR and Charan.

In the promo of ‘Ramaraju For Bheem’, the Nandamuri hero throws a javelin into the fireball and flexes his shredded muscles to join two chains from opposite sides. The clip received a phenomenal response from all quarters.
