Union Minister Ramdas Athawale demands compensation for Kangana Ranaut: She must get justice

Union Minister Ramdas Athawale had a meeting with Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and has demanded that Kangana Ranaut should be compensated for the damages she is facing after BMC’s demolition drive. “I met Maharashtra Governor today over the issue of demolition of Kangana Ranaut’s property in Mumbai and demanded that she should get compensation for the loss. The way BMC carried out demolition at her property is wrong. She must get justice,” he was quoted by ANI.

After a surprise visit earlier this week, the BMC had issued a notice for illegal construction at her production house – Manikarnika Films office. However after a stay from Bombay High Court, the demolition drive was stopped. Union Minister Ramdas Athawale had met Kangana at her residence yesterday, post which during a media briefing he stated that the actress wants compensation.

Kangana Ranaut’s mother Asha Ranaut had also come out in support of her daughter and told ANI, “What Maharashtra govt did is condemnable. I condemn that in harshest of words. I’m happy that entire India is standing with my daughter & people’s blessings are with her. I’m proud of her, she always stood by truth & will continue doing that.”
