Is this the reason Vikram opted out of Suriyaputra Mahavir Karna?

Suriyaputra Mahavir Karna is one of the most anticipated movies and the film has been in the news for a long time. It was said that actor Vikram will play the titular character of Karna in the movie based on the story of Karna taken from the epic Mahabharatha, while RS Vimal will helm the project. In an interesting announcement, the team has now revealed the motion poster and the movie’s official logo.

The film will narrate the story of Karna from the perspective of the unsung hero of the Mahabharata.

Vashu Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh and Jackky Bhagnani are producing the big-budget movie.

Earlier, in the year 2018, Vikram had announced that he would be doing the movie through his Instagram post. Now, it’s learnt that Vikram will not be a part of the movie. While there was so much hype around the movie with Vikram, along with the motion poster, there is no mention of Vikram. It is reported that the versatile actor has opted out of the movie as he is part of another historical fiction, Ponniyin Selvan directed by Mani Ratnam. Now, it is reported that the makers of Mahavir Karna will bring on board a Bollywood actor for the movie which will be made in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. While the multilingual movie’s scripted and directed by RS Vimal, the dialogues, lyrics and additional screenplay of the film is by popular poet Dr Kumar Vishwas.

Vimal debuted as a director with Prithviraj-starrer Ennu Ninte Moideen in Malayalam. At first Prithviraj was supposed to be headlining the movie. Karnan was announced in 2016 and later there was a change of producer, as the budget shot up from 60 crores to 300 crores and Vikram was said to be doing the powerful role. Now, again there is a change of producer as Pooja Entertainments has come up to bankroll the project, and a Bolllywood actor is expected to play the role of Karna.
