Veteran actor and Rajya Sabha MP Jaya Bachchan, is all set to make a comeback in movies after almost seven years. If rumours are to be believed, then the senior actress is in talks with Gajendra Ahire for the latter’s directorial. In fact, the actress is said to be quite keen on being a part of the film. Neither Bachchan nor Ahire has made any official announcement of the same yet.
Gajendra, who is tight-lipped about the project is pre-dominantly a Marathi filmmaker. He has directed over 50 Marathi films. But there is no confirmation whether it will be a Hindi, Marathi or a multilingual film.
Husband Amitabh Bachchan has already made his acting debut in Marathi cinema with Milind Mane’s ‘AB aani CD’ last year. Jaya was last seen in a brief role in Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor starrer ‘Ki & Ka’ in 2016.
We hear Gajendra, who began and completed four films – Return Journey, Shrimati Umbrella, Vidyapeeth and Adkitta – post the lockdown, is hoping to begin the shoot with veteran actress soon.
