Raghava Lawrence is currently busy with Rudran produced by Five Star Kathiresan. The movie’s first look was launched on the actor’s birthday in October and the film has music by GV Prakash. Earlier the actor had announced the sequel to the famous Rajinikanth-starrer Chandramukhi and has taken blessings from the Superstar. The movie is being directed by P Vasu and bankrolled by Sun Pictures. However, for a long time there has been a silene regarding the movie and some rumours recently surfaced mentioning that the movie has been shelved. The reason attributed in the rumours mentioned that the producers wanted to take a pay cut by the team in the wake of the pandemic and Lawrence was not ready for the same and hence they have decided to shelve the project.

But Lawrence, recently has clarified that the movie is not shelved and after Rudran he would be starting the movie though there is no mention about the rest of the cast and crew. Earlier, there were rumours that the team was planning to rope in Jyothika, Simran or Kiara Advani, which Lawrence dismissed saying that it was not true.
