Lingusamy’s bilingual with Ram to go on floors in May

After a hiatus of almost three years, Lingusamy is back to doing what he does best. The director had announced that he will be directing popular Tollywood actor Ram Pothineni in a Tamil-Telugu bilingual next. He also shared pictures from the poojai of the film, which was held in Hyderabad last week. While the team hasn’t officially announced the female lead and the rest of the cast and crew, we have learnt that Uppena girl Krithi Shetty has been roped in for the film. Another interesting addition to the cast is veteran actress Nadiya. A source tells us, “Lingusamy and Ram had been in talks for a film for a while, and it was recently that they decided to announce the film and kick-start work on it. The team had approached Krithi, who has a handful of Telugu films, including one with Nani, to play the female lead. She has a strong role and was quite excited to be part of the film. This will also mark her Tamil debut. The team has also roped in Nadiya to play an integral character.”

We hear that Devi Sri Prasad is likely to come on board as the music director. “Lingusamy had a meeting with DSP recently, and the two have vibed well. If things materialise, this will be the first time the two will work together,” the source says, adding that the film will go on floors in May. It will be shot simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu, in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam.
