'Maanadu' actor Karunakaran undergoes minor leg surgery, on rest for few weeks

Karunakaran marked his debut on big screens as a supporting actor in Sundar C’s comedy-drama ‘Kalakalappu’. Karunakaran then promoted himself by doing comedy roles and emerged as a popular comedian in the industry. Karunakaran is currently playing a key role in Simbu’s political drama ‘Maanadu’, which is directed by Venkat Prabhu. Now, the latest buzz is that ‘Maanadu’ actor Karunakaran feels comfortable after minor surgery.

Karunakaran had injured his leg while shooting for the star-studded ‘Maanadu’ last February. But the actor took it lightly since it was a minor injury, and proceeded with the ‘Maanadu’ shooting. Now, Karunakaran has decided to make use of the free time and accordingly, underwent minor surgery on his injured leg. The talented actor now feels better after the surgery and has limited himself from work since the doctors have asked him to take rest for a couple of weeks.

‘Maanadu’ features Simbu and Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead roles, and director Venkat Prabhu has set the story of the film based on a huge political conference. The film is produced by Suresh Kamatchi’s V House Productions, while the music of the film is scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
