After dating for almost a year, Marathi actor Manasi Naik and professional boxer Pardeep Kharera tied the knot in Pune. The couple had a traditional Maharashtrian wedding ceremony with just family members and friends in attendance.
Donning an elegant Pink lehenga inspired by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Jodha look, Manasi made a grand entry in a beautifully decorated palki, to the tunes of Dulhe Ka Sehra. She took to the lagna mandap along with her groom Pardeep, who looked dapper in a golden sherwani with pink pheta. Going through a gamut of emotions, the bride said, “I am finally Mrs Kharera. I can’t find words to express my happiness; I’m speechless right now. All I want to say is that I have found my soulmate and an extremely loving family.”
The couple will leave for Pardeep’s hometown Faridabad (Haryana) today post vidaai, to perform other rituals. The Haryanvi groom, who is all praises for Maharashtrian culture shared, “I have enjoyed every minute of the rituals here. In fact, I am slowly trying to learn a few words and sentences in Marathi, and it is quite a fun.”
Manasi’s mehendi and sangeet ceremonies too had no dearth of fun and entertainment. The light-eyed beauty danced on Ye Galiyan Ye Chaubara from Prem Rog, which made her family members tad too emotional.
