The story says Satyaveer was a government engineer who writes detective novels in his spare time. One day, a lady called Manorama comes and requests Satyaveer to spy on her husband Minister P.P.Rathore for a sum of money. Satyaveer agrees. Later when Manorama dies Satyaveer realizes that Manorama was not the wife of the Minister Rathore. His be-friends Manorama’s friend Sheetal. Afterwards Satyaveer realizes that there are further mysteries behind the whole episode. The racket of land grabbing, corruption, immoralities etc.
Director Navdeep Singh not only wanted a good script, but also great actors to work with. The selection of Raima Sen was because of her versatility and suitability for most roles. The choice of Gul Panag was based on her performance in the critically acclaimed Dor (2006). The character of Manorama went to Sarika because she was convinced of the role.
Coming to the performances, Abhay Deol as Satyaveer has justified the role of a rural detective with great underplay, Gul Panag has a simple role but she does her part very well. Raima Sen shows tremendous versatility. Kulbushan Kharbanda and Vinay Pathak are very good and Sarika looks stunning in her role.
Most of the movie was shot in Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan during the winter season, the ensuing fog and rain also gave them trouble during the shoot.
