'Master' box office collection day 1: Vijay starrer collects more than Rs.20 crore at the ticket windows in Tamil Nadu

Vijay’sMaster’ was released as a Pongal feast to fans yesterday, and it had huge anticipation among the fans. The film has opened with positive reviews, while Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi rule with their respective roles. According to the Box Office India report, Vijay’sMaster‘ has collected more than Rs 20 crore (Nett) at the Tamil Nadu box office on day 1 to become the second-best in the state. Vijay’s ‘Sarkar’ tops at the day one collections, and the actor rules with four films in the top five. The action drama has reportedly collected almost Rs 35 crore (Nett) at the overall India box office.

This is a great achievement by the film at the box office with only 50% occupancy which is allowed in theaters due to the pandemic situation. The numbers would have been double if the situation was normal, and it might have emerged as one of the highest-grossing films in history. With holidays ahead, ‘Master’ is almost Housefull at most all the centers, and the film is expected to earn some magical numbers in the coming days.

Vijay plays the role of a professor in ‘Master’, while Vijay Sethupathi plays as his opposition. Mahendran, Arjun Das, Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah, Gouri G Kishan, Shanthanu play key roles, and the music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The film is produced by XB Film Creators in association with Seven Screen Studio.
