Mouni Roy reveals she was tested for COVID-19 seven times during her visit to UAE, UK and Maldives amidst the pandemic

Despite the ongoing pandemic, Mouni Roy has been having the time of her life travelling to UAE, UK and Maldives. The actress was in the UAE at her sister’s place in March when the lockdown was imposed.

Talking about the same to Mumbai Mirror, Mouni reportedly said that when she was at her sister’s place in UAE, she took up painting. Even though she hates entering the kitchen, she tried her hands at several of her mother’s recipes. Later, she moved to the UK for the shoot of a web show.

Speaking about the shooting amid the pandemic, she stated that nobody knew what to expect, but everyone followed the rules with only one department present on set at a time. She added that the team however soon got used to the new normal. According to her, swab tests were done every week for the cast and crew keeping everyone’s safety in mind.

The actress recently celebrated her birthday in the Maldives. She also took to her social media handles to share pictures from her vacation. Talking about her experience there, she said that as soon as you reach, they ask you to change and a doctor arrives to do a test. Results come the next morning and only then are you allowed to walk freely on the island, even without masks.

Mouni revealed that she’d been tested seven times for corona in the last seven months. She however said that though it was uncomfortable and painful, it was extremely necessary to do so. Mouni Roy will finally return home this month.
