NCB probing Sushant Singh Rajput death case, makes fresh seizure of drugs worth Rs 9 crore

MUMBAI: The narcotic control bureau (NCB) probing the drug angle in actor Sushant Singh Rajput death case on Wednesday carried out a massive raid at a hideout in Boisar and have arrested two persons and have seized drugs worth Rs 9 crore.

A NCB team led by joint director Sameer Wankhede raided a godown in Boisar and seized 1kg cocaine, 2 kgs of PCB and 16 kgs of Mephedrone or MD of a total worth of Rs 9 crore.

Sources said that the tip off came from two of the 18 drug peddlers arrested in the FIR no 16. NCB had last month arrested around 20 people including Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik for procuring drugs.

During the course of investigations, the two arrested drug peddlers spilled the beans on the Boisar drug racket. “We have arrested two peddlers and their interrogation has led us to another raid. Our operations are ongoing”, said Wankhede.
