NCB sources confirm that Ranveer Singh has not sent any request to be present at the investigation with wife Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone has been summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau to join the ongoing drugs-related probe, which surfaced during the investigation of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. Reports suggested that Ranveer Singh had requested to be present at the questioning with Deepika, however NCB sources have revealed that they have not received any such application. “There are questions that whether Ranveer Singh is joining investigation with Deepika. We confirm that we have not received any such request from any summoned person. The last email received from the concerned summoned person is only regarding joining the investigation,” stated NCB sources.

Deepika Padukone will be appearing before the NCB on Saturday, September 26. The actress was shooting in Goa when she was served the summons. Late on Thursday night, Deepika and Ranveer Singh were snapped at the airport as they arrived in Mumbai.

Apart from Deepika Padukone, the NCB had also issued summons to Rakul Preet Singh, Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor. Also, Deepika’s manager Karishma Prakash has been called in by the Narcotics Control Bureau for questioning today. The celebrity manager has been reportedly summoned in connection to chats from 2017 chats with the ‘Padmaavat’ actress, where they were allegedly discussing drugs.
