Neetu Chandra, who has entertained fans in hits like ‘Garam Masala’ and ‘Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!’, recently opened up about her journey in Bollywood. The actress revealed that she was replaced from ‘Tanu Weds Manu’, which starred Kangana Ranaut and R Madhav in the lead. Speaking to a news portal, Neetu stated that R Madhavan had previously spoken about recommending recommended Kangana’s name for the lead role in ‘Tanu Weds Manu’.
Revealing that she had signed up for the film, Neetu said that such things kept happening to her and that in her Bollywood journey, she was removed from as many as six movies. She also added that two of her Hindi films were shot but never released and that she was thrown out of the film industry. While Neetu Chandra may be seen in fewer movies on the big screen, the actress shared that she has a few Bollywood projects in her kitty.
Directed by Aanand L Rai, ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ hit the screens in 2011. The romantic comedy was a huge hit and later in 2015 its sequel ‘Tanu Weds Manu: Returns’ was released.
