Nil Batter Sannata is an Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari Debut film, written by Neeraj Singh, Pranjal Choudhary, and Nitesh Tiwari, produced by Aanand L. Rai, Ajay G Rai, and Alan Mcalex, editing was done by Chandrasekhar Prajapati, and cinematography has handled by Gavemic U. Ary.

It stars Swara Bhaskar, Ria Shukla in a lead role with supporting cast Ratna Pathak, Pankaj Tripathi, Sanjay Suri, Ganesh Kumar, Prashant Tiwari, and Neha Prajapati

It was released on 22 April 2016, and the film became a commercial success at the box office, it net grossed ₹69 million.

Manoj Yadav, Rohan, and Vinayak was composed the music and lyrics were written by Nitesh Tiwari and Shreya Jain, the vocals are provided by Neuman Pinto, Aarti Shenai, Rohan Utpat, Nandini Srikar, Mohan Kanan, and A. Hariharan.

The Film won Filmfare Awards for Best Debut- Director to Ashwini Iyer Tiwari, Two Screen Awards for Best Actress (critics) to Swara Bhaskar, and Best Child Artist to Ria Shukla and also won Silk Road International Film Festival for Best Actress to Swara Bhaskar.

The movie was based on Chanda Sahay (Swara Bhaskar) she has a big dream for her daughter Apu(Ria Shukla) Chanda toils daily as a housemaid and does various odd jobs so that she can educate her daughter to become something, either doctor or engineer, although Apu who is in class ten not interest in studies and has no dreams or expectations with life and she make her ambition to become a Bai like her mother because she thinks they pay well, after knowing about her daughter ambition Chanda creates some circumstances in such a manner that the daughter slowly and gradually becomes interested in studies, makes friends with intelligent students of the class – plus even her weak friends got interested in studies, Later she hacks the IAS examination.

Swara Bhaskar was outstanding and plays a single mother, uneducated, and someone who moves earth and skies to make ends meet. Ria Shukla does well in her role, Ratna Pathak Shah who plays the doctor and Vishal Nath who plays Chanda and Apu classmate do commendable jobs, and Pankaj Tripathi was brilliant as usual.
