Actress Nusraat Faria recently celebrated her birthday with family in Bangladesh. So, what was her birthday wish this year, we ask. “I want a corona-free world, where people can go back to their normal lives. This new normal is becoming unbearable with each passing day. It is painful when you can’t meet your friends and relatives because of this pandemic. One can’t even hug a friend when they meet,” said the actress, who was last seen in Birsa Dasgupta’s Bibaho Obhijaan. Talking about her birthday resolutions, Nusraat said, “Resolutions are usually made to be broken. So, my only wish is to be a better human being. In this pandemic, I see people all around have become intolerant and it could be because of the uncertainty all around.”
The actress, who got engaged to Rony Riad Rashid on March 21 in Bangladesh, said that this birthday was indeed special for her. “It was my first birthday after I got engaged to Rony. He gifted me a beautiful sapphire ring,” said the actress with a smile. In an interview with CT, Nusraat had said, “We will get married by the end of December, as hopefully the situation will be better by that time and we plan to settle in Australia after that.” So does that plan stand? “We are not sure yet. Let’s see. We want the situation to improve and then only we can decide on the date of our marriage as we want all our friends and relatives to be part of the celebrations,” said the actress.
Nusraat is part of Raja Chanda’s Bhoy, opposite Ankush, which got stalled due to the pandemic. “Rajada and his team are trying to make arrangements so that I can travel by road safely and reach Kolkata to complete the shoot,” said Nusraat.
