Oindrila Sen has been a part of this industry for more than a decade. But this is for the first time that the actress will be seen as one of the leads in a film and that too opposite Ankush (her boyfriend), in Raja Chanda’s Magic.
In between, the actress has been part of various mega serials. “I did act in films as a child artiste and then as a heroine in Krishna, which tanked at the box-office. So technically, this is my first film as a heroine in 12 years. I play Kriti, a fashion designer in this movie and how my character gets involved with Indrajit (Ankush) is something I can’t reveal. It’s a romantic thriller after all. Ankush and I, both did an acting workshop under Sudiptaa Chakraborty’s guidance. She has chalked out our character graph well, which in a way will help us perform better. And I hope, my off-screen chemistry with Ankush gets translated onscreen so that we portray our characters better. I have scenes with Ankush in the second half,” said the actress, adding, “I wish my father was here today to witness this big break in my life. So, I will give my first shot after looking at his photo on my phone.”
What safety measures are Oindrila adhering to at the shoot? “I am carrying my food, tea, fruits, snacks, extra slippers, iron, sanitiser, surface disinfector and hand wash. My mother accompanies me to the shoots, so I am carrying a bed sheet too for her to use it before resting on the sofa,” said Oindrila.
