Parineeti Chopra condemns the Hathras gang-rape: I am disgusted to be called a human being if those monsters are

Bollywood celebrities have been condemning the case of Hathras gang-rape and demanding justice for the late victim’s family on social media. The latest one to join the bandwagon is Parineeti Chopra who says she is “disgusted to be called a human being”.

She wrote, ‘Humans or monsters? Won’t say animals, because have you seen how loving and loyal animals are compared to what some of us have become? I am disgusted to be called a human being if those monsters are… I am so sorry #Hathras.’

A 19-year-old Dalit woman from Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras died on Tuesday, days after being raped by four men. She was reportedly gang-raped on September 14 following which she was admitted to the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Hospital in Aligarh. She was referred to Delhi’s Safdarjung hospital on Monday after her condition showed no signs of improvement.

According to the Hathras SP, the four accused, who have already been arrested, will now also face charges under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code.

Apart from Parineeti, Akshay Kumar, Kangana Ranaut, Swara Bhasker, Abhishek Bachchan and many others took to their social media handles to condemn the brutal act.
