Rajinikanth's Annaatthe shooting plans postponed to November

The shooting of superstar Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe directed by Siva was earlier planned to resume in October after the delay due to the lockdown and COVID-19 situation. It was reported that the scenes that don’t involve Rajinikanth were being planned to be shot first, but now, the team has postponed the shooting schedule to the month of November.

While the release of the film which was pushed to Pongal 2021 after initially being planned as a Diwali release, is now eyeing a Tamil New Year’s day release. The decision to delay filming comes in lieu of the rising COVID 19 cases in the country.

Anaatthe’ is produced by Sun Pictures, and it has many popular faces from the industry. The film has a huge line up of cast which includes Keerthy Suresh, Nayanthara, Meena, Kushbhu, Prakashraj, Sathish, Soori, Goerge Maryan and many others and has music by D Imman. The movie is said to be a rural-based family entertainer.

Superstar Rajinikanth is expected to join the team for shooting only in January. The superstar has already completed shooting for about 50 percent of his portions and the remaining scenes would be shot in January.
