Rajkummar Rao’s ‘Chupke Chupke’ remake to go on floors on THIS date

Rajkummar Rao will soon be seen stepping into the shoes of Dharmendra in the remake of the classic movie, ‘Chupke Chupke’. The actor will kick-start shooting for the film in March 2021.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, ‘Chupke Chupke’ remake will roll in March next year. The script is reportedly undergoing some rewrites as the makers are determined to do justice to the original. The makers are also in talks with several actors for the role of Sukumar, professor of English masquerading as Parimal, and trying to teach botany, enacted by Amitabh Bachchan in the original. The cast is expected to be finalised by December this year.

Earlier talking to the publication, Rajkummar had said that it is a big responsibility to step into Dharmendra’s shoes. He added that although they cannot match Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s standard, they will try to put their best foot forward.

Meanwhile, on the work, Rajkummar has some very interesting projects in his pipeline which include Anurag Basu’s ‘Ludo’ which is all set to release on an OTT platform. The film also stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Abhishek Bachchan in lead roles.

Apart from this, he will also be seen in ‘Badhaai Do’ co-starring Bhumi Pednekar.
