Shooting for SS Rajamouli’s much-awaited magnum opus RRR has commenced, the production team announced on Tuesday. Director SS Rajamouli even shared a glimpse from the film’s set with a picture that shows two bloodied hands of the protagonists, played by Ram Charan and Jr NTR, holding each other’s hands with a foreign flag in the background.
Sharing the image on his social media handles, Rajamouli wrote, “The CLIMAX shoot has begun! My Ramaraju and Bheem come together to accomplish what they desired to achieve…(sic).” The film’s production unit, meanwhile, promised a visual extravaganza when the film plays out on the big screen. ““The MASSIVE CLIMAX shoot has begun!Mighty Bheem and Fiery Ramaraju are set to accomplish what they desired to achieve, together. A BIG SCREEN ExtRRRavaganza is coming your way (sic),” they wrote on their social media handles.
The shooting for RRR recently took place with Covid-19 protocols in place at Mahabaleshwar in Maharastra. The unit then moved to Hyderabad where key scenes of the film which also involve Bollywood star Alia Bhatt are currently being shot. This is going to be Alia’s Tollywood debut and fans down south are eager to see her opposite Ram Charan in this historical drama.
Ram Charan is playing the role of a freedom fighter Alluri Seetharama Raju while Jr NTR will be seen as Komaram Bheem in the film. The periodical drama, set in the early 20th century, also features Hollywood actress Olivia Morris and B-town star Ajay Devgn in key roles.
